OPEN STUDIO Benni Bosetto / Le Streghette

Fonderia Artistica Battaglia is glad to present Le Streghette, an open studio of Benni Bosetto.
The project is supported by Massimo Adario and Dimitri Borri in collaboration with ADA, Rome.

Benni Bosetto presents a new series of works of three sceptres in bronze, created specifically for the mould room in the foundry, her studio during her residency in Fonderia Artistica Battaglia.

During the residency the artist created the models directly in wax, giving life to three unique pieces, faithful to her genuine interest in the sign and the gesture.

The three sculptures, conceived from the beginning as apotropaic objects, will be activated during the event with a magic spell.

The work of Benni Bosetto overlaps and combines anthropology, religion and iconology through an intuitive research process. Her artistic practice features drawing, sculpture, installation and performance, through which fragments of different narratives melt in a dreamlike atmosphere, creating timeless settings.
