FORME E ANTI FORME

Portando oggetti creati industrialmente nel mondo dell'arte, conosciuti come Ready-mades, Marcel Duchamp ha profondamente messo in discussione l'accettata opinione che l'arte sia necessariamente un'espressione di BELLEZZA. Nonostante egli fosse seguito nelle sue idee da una porzione importante degli artisti occidentali avanguardisti, a partire dagli anni '60, la maggiore parte degli italiani considerano ancora oggi la BELLEZZA come valore  e motivo trainante del fare arte.
FORME e ANTIFORME è una mostra organizzata come uno SCONTRO tra la forma più pura di bellezza - l'oggetto di DESIGN basato a Milano - e tutte le possibili anti-forme create nell'ultimo secolo.
 

By bringing industrially produced objects, known as the Ready-mades, into the art world, Marcel Duchamp severely questioned the preconceived opinion that art is supposed to be an expression of BEAUTY.  Although he was followed in his ideas by an important part of the Western avant-garde artists from the 1960s on, a majority of Italians still today consider BEAUTY as a valuable concept and the dominant motivation for producing art.  FORME e ANTIFORME is an exhibition organized as a CLASH between the purest of all possible forms of beauty – the DESIGN object with its home basis in Milano – with all possible anti-forms from the last half century.
