Momentum
Momentum is born as an investigation on the representation and the experience of the moment.
The work is divided into a series of sculptures created by the contact between two immiscible liquid elements, the fused raw wax and the river's water course. During the short duration of this reaction the two materials struggle to gain space. The sculpture that emerges is a form still in tension, a cast of the river that preserves the dynamic forms of that struggle.
The objective of this work is a sculptural reflection on the unrepeatability of the instant, on the representation of singularity, a process that becomes indestructible by turning into metal.
