Federico Tosi, Milan 1988. He graduated in Painting in 2012 and obtained a Masters in sculpture in 2014 studying between Milan and Istanbul. His research focuses on the borders of the anthropocene, ranging from a melancholy vision to the past and an optimistic / pessimistic bipolarism towards the future. In recent years he has lived in New York, Detroit, Bangkok, Istanbul and Milan creating a personal and eclectic imagery, sometimes gloomy at times very cheerful. A central focus in his research are the different perception of death studied through contrasts between overseas cultures, popular beliefs and ancient man's rituals mixed with a specific naturalistic scientific vision of the contemporary era, weaving a map of the evolution of fear from the hairy hominids to the man of the future. |
