Bibi Yamamoto was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1984, lives and works in Milan. Bibi Yamamoto explores the relationship between mind and matter by combining psycho-sound concepts and multimedia installations inspired by everyday life. In his videos, the artist compares abstraction and figurative elements; analogical photography, oil painting, clay sculpture, rediscovered objects of intimacy and identity. The video series Man Nest and Bunnies, Swans and Ducks is an intuitive documentation of memory and symbolic values. The aesthetic approach - the use of color, essential shapes and precious materials, such as silk and gold - is influenced by professional experience in the field of fashion and graphic design.
