Marta Pierobon imagines a waiting room as the abstract location for the site-specific installation in Fonderia Battaglia. Through this project she focuses once again on the dynamics related to ’identity' and to the “becoming”.
The mental dimension that may arise during a wait, often gives us the possibility of an intimate awareness and the discovering of otherwise latent desires.
The artist dwells on the meaning of time dilation that comes in the most diverse and sometimes improbable moments of life; but that ,at the same time, they necessarily belong to the everyday life of each of us. "Shoes, Tongues and Cigarettes” is a project about our most hidden and private identity that sometimes we can find only in the most unexpected moments of life.
“My works confront with the time and space dimension, which is not only objective but that changes according to the capacity of comprehension of the viewer and according to the time that passes by the emission of the information to its reception.” Marta Pierobon
