Battaglia Foundry, in occasion of the Miart Fair 2017, presents the result of two years of experimentation and bronze productions with young Italian and international artists.
A small collection of works where research and history merge into a new chapter of a millenary yet timeless tradition.
The exhibition is a tangible trace of a contemporary spectrum of comprehension of the translation of ideas through one of the most ancient techniques of the world.
Battaglia offers a studio space for selected artists who intend to cast their sculptures in the foundry. The artists will be assisted throughout production, and will have the opportunity to exhibit his/her project in a space located in the premises of Battaglia’s historic building in Via Stilicone 10.
Our Residency program offers a learning platform of creation within an atmosphere of timeless knowledge and cultural dialogue.
Working with lost wax casting, Battaglia promotes everyday the conservation of the traditional technique, throughout an innovative research that can push the creative avantgardes towards comprehending a noble and eternal material such as bronze.
